My name is Shannon, but that's not who I am. I am made up of years worth of lessons, mistakes and experiences. I am what other people have made of me and taught me; what I have taken from them and molded into my own. I am made up of a little part of every person I've ever met. I am my passion for life, my love for other people and every song and lyric that's ever made me want to give a damn.
My name means nothing. It doesn't tell you who I am, nor what I've done or what I'm capable of doing. You won't remember me for my name, but you will remember the impact I have upon your life; you'll take a part of that away with you, and that part will add to who you are.
My name is merely to help distinguish me from all the other souls who wander around this Earth; ironic that mine is a very popular name and there are billions named likewise.
Call me something that means something to you. Something that represents who I am, something that is attributed to me and only me in your life. Because I am so much more than just a name.
